Tap to turn on GPS. A dot shows your position on the map as you walk, and the map follows you automatically. The panel at the bottom shows how far you've walked, how far remains, and your current elevation.
Tap a second time to turn navigation off.
Offline Map
Mobile signal can be patchy in the mountains. Tap to cache the map tiles for your route. This takes a minute and is best done on WiFi or with a good signal. Once done, the map works without any connection.
Get GPX
Prefer OsmAnd, Komoot, or another app? Tap to download the GPX route file to your phone, where you can open it in any hiking app you have installed.
Add to your home screen (optional)
For the best experience you can save the app to your phone's home screen, where it will open full-screen like a native app.
On Android: Open any trail guide link in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, and choose "Add to home screen".
On iPhone: Open any trail guide link in Safari, tap the Share icon (the box with the arrow), and choose "Add to Home Screen".
You only need to do this once. You don't have to install — but if you do, the address bar will vanish and free up some valuable screen space.
